About the event

【The second phase of the workshop is enrolling】

[Look at the history books? Do you want to see? 】

There are many kinds of TV programs, but not all of them are suitable for children to watch alone, and history books are the same. With the upsurge of the past few years, there are many more people who write and read the history of Hong Kong. From online articles to physical books to films and courses, it really covers everything. But if the quantity is too large, it will inevitably be uneven. After all, as a novice with no historical background, how should he distinguish which are worth watching and which are not worth watching?

This workshop will explain some basic historiographical concepts, and also share some practical skills, so that everyone can know how to judge the pros and cons of different historical writings, and understand their effects on readers. In this era of information flooding, it is equally important to pay attention to media literacy skills when watching news, to distinguish the authenticity of information, to cultivate the ability to read history, and to understand the power of discourse.
