About the event
[There were cattle in Tuen Mun in the old days] If the history of Hong Kong is told from the perspective of animals, what kind of appearance will it present? For thousands of years, human society has relied on the power of animals to function, providing us with labor, food, and even spiritual support (archaeological evidence shows that the ancestors of Lamma Island in prehistoric times had puppies!). But when we discuss the history of Hong Kong, we tend to only focus on the interaction between humans and ignore the changes in the relationship between humans and animals over time. It turns out that there were many different species of wild animals in Hong Kong, and we will learn about them together; it turns out that the animal policy in Hong Kong in the past is very different from today, and we will discuss it together. In this reading session, I also hope that everyone can bring an experience related to animals. Let us see together the difference between the way people treat animals in modern and old times.
